HOSTCOM pays courtesy visit to DESOPADEC commissioner, Julius Egbedi, says his political reputation precedes him

Comrade James Egbedi led members of Host Communities Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM), Okpe Chapter, on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 on a familiarization visit to the Commissioner representing Sapele, Okpe, and Ethiope West Local Government Areas on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Julius Egbedi.

In his address, Comrade James described Chief Julius Egbedi as a dependable and astute Politician, a great personality with noble disposition.
Stating the purpose of their visit, Walter Augoye who spoke on behalf of members of HOSTCOM Okpe said, "we have come to familiarize ourselves and congratulate the Honourable Commissioner on his recent appointment on the Board of DESOPADEC".
The name Julius Egbedi is an house hold name and it is synonymous with greatness. We have heard so many positive things about him from when he was chairman to when he was appointed as commissioner and today he is representing us on the board of DESOPADEC. His political reputation precedes him and we are happy that he is our representative.
We are optimistic that he will surpass every other person that has been appointed before now on the board and create an indelible record for himself.

His antecedents, calm disposition, interactive skills, receptive and socialization nature stands him out from others that have been on the board.
We believe in his capacity to deliver and we are sure that this administration would favour HOSTCOM Okpe.

We would work in synergy with him to ensure that we produce good results and were there are challenges, we would not hesitate to let him know.

In continuation, Walter Augoye said, the appointment of Chief Julius Egbedi on the board of DESOPADEC is the best thing that has happened to the Okpe people, he thanked His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State for finding Chief Julius Egbedi worthy enough to serve. We are very grateful to His Excellency, he added.
While welcoming the members of HOSTCOM Okpe, Hon Julius Egbedi said, "I am indeed very honoured to receive you all in my residence today, I urge you all to work with me, to enable us achieve a common successful goal.

DESOPADEC is an interventionist board, it was created to meet the needs and aspiration of people from oil bearing communities. I want to assure you that HOSTCOM Okpe will get their fair share of what is due to them from DESOPADEC, he said.
It is an Okpe Government, we will do exploit to develop Okpe Kingdom. I assure you that this administration would be a fruitful one, together we would add value to the Sheriff Oborevwori led administration and everyone would smile at the end of this government, he reiterated.

HOSTCOM Okpe members present include Victor Omugheli, Benson Ugholo, Lucky Aragba, Obero Martins, Mary Otikiri, Forgive Etatowhoma, Tina Agise, Josephine Oke, John Eru, and Amrevuraire Sunday John.
