DESOPADEC Commissioner Julius Egbedi visits Sapele, Ethiope West, Okpe Area Office

Hon Julius Egbedi, Member Representing Sapele, Okpe, and Ethiope West Local Government Areas on the board of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, (DESOPADEC) visited the Sapele, Ethiope West, and Okpe Area office respectively on Monday, July 10th, 2023.
Hon Julius Egbedi while addressing journalist who were on ground during the visit said that he decided to visit the respective office to get himself familiar with the staff, know their challenges to enable him profer solutions.
In his words, I came to see for myself, familiarize myself with staff, know what the offices need respectively, as this will enable me to plan for them from time to time.
I have also listened to the problems faced by staff and I will raise it during our board meeting. I also urged them to cooperate, work in synergy with me so that together we can profer lasting solution.
DESOPADEC is an interventionist board and providing a conducive environment for staff will facilitate work, we would also initiate projects and programs that will touch life, he added.
Earlier on Mrs Rachael Okpegwa Coordinator for Sapele, Engr Jeremiah Sakpoba Coordinator for Ethiope West, and Mr Imoyina Okiemute, Coordinator for Okpe had earlier on enumerated the challenges face by staff of the respective offices.

Some of the challenges enumerated include lack of transformer, vehicle for project monitoring, security, water, electricity.

The staff also appealed to the Honourable board member to use his good office to deploy engineers, tackle issue of staff welfare, review the issue of bio-metric machine, withdraw case from court, and improve the welfare of staff.
