Delta State Commissioner of Police Visits Sapele Area Command

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass (PSC) on Thursday, July 13th, 2023 visited the Sapele Area Command.
ACP Adulaihi Idris Munta Sapele Area commander, CSP Harrison Nwabushi, Divisional Police Officer, Sapele (DPO), DPO Jesse, Archbishop Godday Iboyi, Spiritual Leader Okpe Kingdom, Chief Godwin Atose, Chief Wilson Omene, Chief Moses Babuba Abeke, Chief Afotokun, Mr Save Agoda, Mr Patrick Erugba Godwin were amongst dignatries who was on ground to receive the Commissioner of Police.
ACP Adulaihi Munta in his speech welcomed the commissioner to Sapele, while introducing him to dignatries present.
CP Wale Abass (PSC) while responding thanked the Area Commander, DPOs, Spiritual fathers, chiefs and other dignitaries who took out time from their busy schedule to receive him, saying that the ceremony would have been incomplete without them.
Speaking accordingly, CP Wale Abass said, in his words, "I thank you all for your love, commitment and passion. I appreciate the efforts that you have all put in to make this ceremony a success. The police cannot do it alone, we need the cooperation of stakeholders, everybody that are members of the community to ensure that we have lasting peace and security in our area".
The Police must endeavour to work with the members of the community, because the police cannot know it alone, we need the cooperation and trust of the public to work efficiently.
Our dreams as police men is to have an enabling environment for everybody in Delta State, people should be able to go about their business without fear, hindrance, attack, violence or rancour of any form. I came personally to Sapele to assure the people of my commitment, that I will do everything humanly possible with the management team, and command in general to ensure that we have an enabling security environment in Delta State, he said.
In continuation, he said, "the security of lives and property cannot be achieved without the cooperation of members of the public. I am soliciting for your cooperation and I pray that God Almighty will see us through he added.
His Royal Eminence Archbishop Godday Iboyi on his part urge the commissioner of police to put his trust in God, adding that without God's help it would be impossible to fight crime.
"I want to urge him to put his trust in Almighty God who would always help him to fight crime". The police alone, cannot fight crime without God. I am also optimistic that CP Wale Abass would make us proud, discharges his duty without fear or favour. I thank God for his visit to Sapele LGA, on behalf of Okpe kingdom I say thank you to our CP. As the spiritual leader of Okpe kingdom, I will continue to give support to the police, because the issue of security is not for the police alone, all of us must be part of it. We must all come together to fight crime and we must endeavour to pray, because without prayers no one can succeed, he said.
The chairman of PCRC Sapele, Mr Save Agoda while addressing news men said that, "the PCRC is committed to assisting the police achieve a sustainable community policy for security of lives and property.
"As PCRC, we remain resolute in our collective resolve to provide supportive services to the police, because we believe that security is everybody's concern and business, he said.
Vice chairman PCRC Patrick Erugba Godwin, thanked the CP for his coming, "his visit is timely, and I pray that God will continue to bless and protect him all through his tenure", he said.
