Chief Paulinus Akpeki, Chief Ejaife Omizu Odebala, Hon Stella Erhuvwuoghene Okotete, Executive Director of the Nigerian Export - Import Bank (NEXIM),Chief Ogheneovo Omene were amongst dignatries who attended the election victory thanksgiving ceremony of Delta Central Senator, Chief Ede Dafinone on Sunday, July 9th, 2023.
Chief Paulinus Akpeki in his remarks said, "Ede Dafinone will perform incredibly well, residents of Delta Central Senatorial district will be very happy and proud to have him as their representative at the Senate".
"I have absolute confidence and trust in him, the people of Sapele and Delta Central in general should expect the best from him, as he has programs designed and in due time he will execute them". Again, Dafinone will emulate the immediate past Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo Agege in terms of development and will supercede his records, he added.
The thanksgiving service was held in honour of Senator Ede Dafinone at Praise Baptist Church, Sapele.
Chief Ejaife Omizu Odebala while eulogizing Senator Ede Dafinone, described him as a great intellectual, and one with a vision. "I believe he will transform Delta Central he said".
Senator Ede Dafinone has got all the political experience that is needed to continue from where the immediate past Senator stopped. He is a listening leader, very accessible, one with integrity and empathy. I believe that Delta Central will continue to enjoy good dividends of democracy. He is passionate about social development, inclusive growth and I am optimistic that he will be bringing so much for all Hon Stella Erhuvwuoghene Okotete told news men.
Chief Ogheneovo Omene on his part express optimistism in the emergence of Ede Dafinone as the Senator to represent Delta Central, ". He will perform well, his late father was a Senator, it runs in the blood. Ede is the best man to represent the Urhobos, he added.
Senator Ede Dafinone while addressing news men said "I am here to thank God Almighty for a successful election, as the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial district. Without the hand of the Almighty, it would not have been possible, I am thanking God for this day, for many days of campaign without accident, I also want to thank my team for their support and I want to assure them that I will not leave any of my team members behind.
Elections are over, it is time to work for the benefit of the masses irrespective of party affiliation, I was voted in by the people and I want to assure them that I will run an all inclusive government he said.
Dignatries at the event include Senator Joel Onowakpo, Chief Mrs Veronica Ogbuagu, Chief Patrick Akamovba, Mr Moses Ogodo, Hon Blessing Achoja, amongst others.
