17 years on the throne: Chief Godwin Toritseju Meke, Ugbenu of Okpe Kingdom salutes Orodje

As His Royal Majesty Major General Felix Mujakperuo, (Rtd), Orhue 1, LL.B, B.L, LL.M, LL.D, CFR, mni, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom marks his 17th year coronation anniversary on the throne, Chief Godwin Toritseju Meke, the Ugbenu of Okpe Kingdom, has congratulated the highly revered royal father, saying his 17 years on the throne of his forefather's has been a huge blessing to the people of Okpe Kingdom, Delta State and Nigeria in general.
According to Chief Godwin Meke, the Okpe Kingdom has under the traditional rulership of His Royal Majesty, Orhue the 1st witnessed uncommon transformation, peace and progress in the last 17 years, which he said can only be ascribed to the commitment and dedication of the royal father to the growth and development of the Okpe Kingdom and its people.
Chief Meke, specifically commended the Orodje for dedicating his reign and the Okpe kingdom into the hands of God, a gesture which he said has been greatly responsible for the remarkable achievements the Kingdom has recorded since he ascended the throne.
The Ugbenu of Okpe also used the opportunity to congratulate the Orodje on the uncommon feat recorded by the Okpe kingdom in the last general election in the country, where an Okpe not only emerged as the governor of the state, but also produced a Senator and a House of Representatives member; a feat he said has never been achieved before in the socio-political history of the Okpe people.
Chief Toritseju Meke, enjoined the Okpe people to continue to pray for the Royal Father and the Okpe kingdom, as this represents the best period for the Okpe people to take their due place in Delta State and the competitive Nigerian federation.
