Renowned philanthropist, Chief London Akpanoko receives award of most-media friendly politician in Ethiope West Local Government Area.

Like they say " our good  deeds precedes us". It was account of this popular saying that Chief London Akpanoko, the Ugo of Idjerhe Kingdom, and Senior Special Assistant to the immediate past governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, on Community Development was presented with an award of the most-media friendly politician in Ethiope West local government area by two popular media houses- Sapele Mirror Newspaper and NelExpress Magazine, on Sunday, June 11th, 2023.
In presenting the award to Chief London Akpanoko at his residence in Jesse, the media houses, said, they were inspired to present the award to the renowned philanthropist and politician as a result of his friendly and good-natured disposition to journalists in Delta State, which they said has no comparison, as he was always pleased to grant journalists audience, no matter how indisposed and tight his schedule was.
The leadership of the media houses encouraged Chief London Akpanoko to continue with his friendly policy with journalists in the state, as members of fourth estate of the realm, hold him in high regards for his support and encouragement to members of the profession, which they said has been a form of motivation to them.
 
Reacting to the wonderful gesture during the ceremony, Chief London Akpanoko said he was elated with the award, and couldn't be more grateful, for the media houses to have found him worthy for such an enviable award, which he described as inspiring and hearten, as it will encourage him to continue to support journalists in the State, in every way necessary.
According to Chief London Akpanoko, "you as members of the press are the watchdog of the society and as you know, without you guys, the society cannot function properly, that is why your contributions to the growth and development of any society cannot be overwhelmed. I will continue to do my best to support journalistic endeavours across the state, knowing that journalists needs all the support and encouragement they can get, in order to do their jobs successfully", he said.
