PDP Ward 10: Three man list, we emerged through voting, not hand picked - Stanley Boss

By Queen Stephanie Ikanone Odiete

Prominent and grassroot mobilizer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of ward 10, in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon Stanley Eta Eshanomi a.k.a. Stanley Boss has reacted to a publication credited to one Mr Victor Odjegba were he accused the leadership of the ward for hand picking the names of three persons for appointment.

We were not hand picked, we emerged through voting, Hon Stanley Eta Eshanomi told newsmen, continuing, he said; "the leader of the ward Hon Chief Julius Eyetan Egbedi called on stakeholders of the ward in other to choose those whose names would be sent, an election was conducted after several names were nominated".
Speaking accordingly, Hon Stanley Eta Eshanomi said that he was nominated for the position of the youth were he emerged unopposed, while Hon Eric Ojiromu and Chief Austin Opubor were nominated for the elders, and Opubor won, Chief Lizzy Ogodo and Hon Philo Asamah Obro was nominated, Hon Philo Obro emerged as winner defeating Chief Lizzy Ogodo with just one vote, he said.

Nobody was handpicked, Victor Odjegba is oblivious of current happenings in ward 10, he should endeavor to keep himself informed before going to the media to mislead the public, if he feels, he can defeat me in an election, then I am throwing the position of the youth slot open to him, let him come and let us go to the feed, let us do a re-run, if he wins, I will congratulate him and rest my case, but if I win him, then he should go home and wait for other opportunities. He is my brother, he should be happy for me and not him trying to give the leader of the ward a bad name. I am stating it categorically once more that we all emerged through voting and nobody was handpicked, he insisted.

In the same vein, Chief Austin Opubor who emerged as the winner for the elder's slot said that Victor Odjegba should endeavor to ask questions from relevant authorities before going to the media, insisting that those whose names were submitted emerged through voting as nobody was handpicked by Hon Julius Egbedi.
