The residents why answering questions on some of his landmark projects not only praised him, they have also called for a higher office in the State for the Okpe Chief whom they are insisting will help bring the new Governor Elect Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori M.O.R.E Agenda for all Deltans to reality.

The opinion poll which took Sapele Mirror Newspaper journalist to rural and urban areas was anchored on straight question on what they think the Chairman has done that will be worth remembering and strategies for sustaining the Inoaghan enduring legacies.
Hon Inoaghan, a successful businessman, took over the mantle of chairman as a democratically elected council boss in 2018 and he is currently rounding off his second tenure which will elapse soon.

The business tycoon had campaigned vigorously on improved security, enhanced economy and development both to the rural and Urban areas.

While many residents have commended his strides in the area of infrastructural development, education, health, skill acquisition, those in the rural areas have emphasized on the power projection that has seen him providing over 20 transformers to communities in dire need of light.
Some of the residents who spoke to Sapele Mirror journalist brainstormed on the council boss's achievements, especially in infrastructural development and “how to sustain these”.

Those who spoke include, Mr Oghebrume Friday, a panel beater whose shop is along Okpe road, Oyibo Iroro an artisan from Iriabome,  Mrs Adugba Ruth and a lot of others.

Oghenebrume Friday in his submission, said he could mention the Inoaghan's legacy projects, but added that many of these are not appreciated due to poor publicity. He therefore urge the Chairman to invest more in publicity, using more competent hand.

He also urged the chairman’s team to document these in a compendium for the sake of posterity. He said it was during Inoaghan's tenure that practically every potholes and bad roads were rehabilitated from Benin road to Gana to Amukpe and even Federal road, as the list is endless".

Mr Oyibo Iroro argued that the security situation “is much better” during his (Inoaghan') administration than the previous one, insisting Sapele is currently enjoying relative peace and all thanks to his support and contribution to the security agencies by ways of giving out patrol vans, and being proactive.

He, however, used the opportunity to thank the council boss for his contributions to the security sector by donating security vans and other security apparatus.

Mr Rukevwe Osumei said although there was relative improvement in the power sector under the chairman's government by donation of transformers to villages, he would want the Chairman to do more, "the rural communities are grateful for what he, Eghele Okpe has done, referring to the chairman's chieftaincy title, "but we want him to do more, he has stand out among the whole bunch since we have been having local government chairman, may God continue to bless him for us, he said".

Mama Ejime has she is fondly called, said that, though Inoaghan has impressed her in different areas of development during his administration, what has really impressed her most was the "rehabilitation and building of the Sapele Local Government Council Primary School" along Crudas road which the council boss has rehabilitated, built more classrooms and donated chairs and desks and provided more uniforms to the pupils while still employing more teachers. She said she was impressed by the council boss contribution on education legacy, not only the Sapele Local Government Council Primary school but others, "which I must commend him for, we are aware of the teachers he has employed in schools in rural areas and his contribution to make sure children get a qualitative education, we are grateful" she however urged the chairman to ensure that he leaves behind a concrete plan to keep these retinue of development so as to leave behind a worthy legacy, thanking Hon Inoaghan for his efforts at empowering the youth during his administration

Mr Dayo Akpogele who hails from Elume community said though he was impressed with what the chairman has been doing, for him the chairman's ability to listen to the plight of the people will remain his enduring legacy "we have had them but none has been responding to the people's pains and plight like him, he is always there and we appreciate him"

He cited an issue that happened in his community that has got to do with security and how the next day the council boss drove to the village and personally tackled it.

A sitting Councilor said; what was impressive about the administration was how he has practically changed and renovated the legislative building which has been in shambles before Inoaghan came into office and the building of a new Legislative building for their sittings. "I think I will commend him for that, this will not only make a conducive environment for deliberations by the legislative members, it has changed how we see decision making in areas like the legislative'

Another resident who said; he resides along New road and sells in the market said for her the issue of keeping the town clean has been most impressive for her "though it has not been hundred percent but I think he has done much, I learnt he provided a refuse van for the council and this has help tremendously in keeping the town clean though he need to put more efforts" she said.

Nurse caro said that Eugene's renovation at the Omamiedie Health centre and other health centres in Sapele was worthy of note, she added that there have been improved health care facilities provided by the Eugene Inoaghan led administration.

For Mrs Adugba Ruth who resides at Ferdison road, Inoaghan legacy projects won't be complete if how he has successfully kept flood at bay is not mentioned, "the opening up of canal that has helped us in these areas is commendable, he has continue to play his part by clearing gutters and making easy flow for areas previously flooded by water when it rains, we really appreciate that".

She however called on Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and the Delta State Governor Elect, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to engage the Okpe Chief in a higher responsibility, so as to impact lives more.
