Delta State Commissioner for Primary Education, Chief Sunday Onoriode has described the Atiku/Okowa's joint ticket of the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the most viable and credible ticket in the forthcoming  2023 general election.

Chief Onoriode stated this in Asaba while addressing staff of Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education ahead of Saturday, February 25 presidential election.
He appealed to the staff of the Ministry and other civil servants in the state to support the Governor by voting for all the candidates of PDP, adding that Okowa would represent the interests of Delta State and attract meaningful development to the state as a Vice President.
While saying that Governor Okowa had done well in all sectors particularly  in terms of socioeconomic transformation of the state, Chief Onoriode affirmed that the choice of the Governor as Vice Presidential candidate of PDP was an act of God, just as he stated that the Governor was not desperate to become VP as at the time the party was making selection.

The Primary Education Commissioner, who described civil servants as a role model in their various communities that could have influence on the voting pattern of their family members, urged them to talk to their people on the benefits of voting for PDP.
He said that the essence of politicking was to add values to one's environment, stressing that Atiku/Okowa ticket was designed to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians,  even as he added that if PDP wins the presidential election, Sapele and Warri sea ports would receive attention.

Chief Onoriode said that himself and the State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu were happy with the endorsement of the PDP candidates including Atiku/Okowa and Sheriff/Onyeme's joint tickets by the staff of Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education,  assured them that better days were coming if PDP emerged victorious.

Earlier in his remarks, the Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Oghoro, noted that the administration of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa had performed beyond expectations, especially in the area of Infrastructural development and welfare of the state workforce.

Mr. Oghoro, who lauded the Governor's efforts in dephrasing promotion arrears of civil servants and for providing a conducive working environment for civil servants, said that as influencers in their families and the sociey,  civil servants should vote wisely for the overall benefits of the state.

Some staff who spoke during the interactive session , stated that they have every reason to vote for PDP for the betterment of the state.
