Chieftains and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trooped to the Sapele Township Stadium in Sapele LGA, on Thursday 12th January, 2023 to welcome the Governor of Delta state and incoming Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; His Excellency; Sen(Dr) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly & Governorship candidate of the PDP as well as other leaders of the party.
Welcoming the Governor and the Delta Campaign Council to Sapele, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso thanked His Excellency the Governor for giving Okpe the opportunity of the Governorship ticket as Sapele people and indeed the Okpe Kingdom cannot appreciate him less. Mr Austine Ayemidejor and Hon. Ejaife Omizu Odebala expressed joy in their very short speech, appreciating the governor for finding Okpe worthy of the seat of the Governor. While the governor was greatly assured of Sapele`s massive turn out on the day of both elections, the PDP will be voted 100% come February and march, 2023.
Governor Okowa thanked all party suppoters and the good people of Sapele for believing in PDP from 1999 till date.
“Sapele has never lost any election since 1999 till date and you cannot start losing now. I am very happy with your turn out today and hope you will deliver 5 over 5 come February and March, 2023. We cannot afford to allow a mace runner take over the seat of power come May 29th , 2023” Gov. because mace running is steal and that would mean our state treasury would not be safe with him”. Gov. Okowa expressed.
