Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa on Community Development, Chief London Owhofasa Akpanoko has apologized to aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, urging them to team up with other party faithful to make lasting impact in the up coming election of 2023.
Akpanoko noted that party members stand in a better position to make meaningful contributions to the growth and development of the party from inside, stressing that PDP has a mandate to deliver all it's candidate from Presidential to Governor to Senate to House of Representatives and to House of Assembly and ensure 5/5.
The apology and reconciliation moves are anchored on uniting members of the party who are drifting away as a result of misunderstanding.

Chief London Owhofasa and members of the group made a call at the home of Mr Kingsley Akpeninor to appeal to him to work for the party during the general election come 2023.

Mr Kingsley Akpeninor while responding to the group and thanking them for coming said, whatever that has happened, I will put it behind me. I will work to ensure that I deliver PDP 5/5 in my ward. Chief Ighoyota Amori is my political leader and I cannot afford to let my leader down. I will deliver all PDP candidates.
Speaking further, he said; candidates are supposed to lobby party faithful to work for them and help canvass other voters to vote for them. A situation where by a candidate tells you not to work for him or her just because of a little misunderstanding is an abberation.

Try and lobby people, don't just assumed that people are not useful, the people that you are undermining might be those with the voter's card, he said.
Irrespective of what has happened, I will work for the party to ensure that I deliver all PDP candidates, he added.

Chief Philomena Ededey, the Ofuafo of Udu Kingdom on her part assured the reconciliation committee that she will work tirelessly to ensure that PDP gets landslide victory come 2023.

Chief Duncan Ewhere, the Erhuvwu of Oghara Kingdom who expressed sadness over the way at which some persons within the party speak to their elders without respect, saying it is very disheartening. I cannot imagine a candidate telling party faithful not to work for her, but all the same, we will ignore her and focus on delivery PDP Candidates. I have always been a devoted member of the PDP and as a founding member I will ensure victory for my party, he said.
We have always been for the party, we are working for the party and we will continue. Our appeal is that they should carry us along. We have not offended them, but if we have they should forgive us, he said.

In Akuodo village, the people's grievances was centered on the fact that they did not have light in their Community, they also complained of not having receiving appointment or empowerment of any form.

We worked for PDP in the last election, and we will still work for them to deliver 5/5 because Chief Ighoyota Amori is our own and we cannot be against our own, but we are in need of a 500 KVA transformer, again we have been hearing of appointments, widows and youth empowerment, but we have not received any form of empowerment Mr Gabriel Koma an Elder in the community told the reconciliation committee.
London Akpanoko on his part, told the aggrieved members that everything will be well again. I have heard all that you said and we will do our best to clear the misunderstandings.

He further added that he has noted everything that the aggrieved members has said and will channel all their complaint to the appropriate center.

You can be rest assured that appointments, and empowerment will come for your people. To let you know that we are serious minded person, I want to immediately have the names of some widows and youth and let us begin the empowerment for them, he said.
