Tears, tributes, as Obaro Odebala pays last respect to his father in-law Pa Godfrey Oboyare Inikoro*

The remains of Pa Godfrey Oboyare Inikoro, the legendary leader of Elume community in Sapele local government area of Delta State was laid to rest on Friday, October, 7th 2022 at his country home in Ogirisen.
Hon Justice Obaro Odebala, one of his son's in-law who was in attendance to pay his last respect to the late icon and community leader describe the late Pa Godfrey Oboyare Inikoro as a good man with great virtues.
He was not just my in-law, but he was my father and friend, we usually sat down to gist, he gave me a lot of advice that helped to shape me into what I am today. He always treated me like a son, we had a cordial relationship and he was an epitome of wisdom, whose great accomplishments inspired a lot of the younger ones to be industrious.
He was one man whose love for his community knew no bound, his love for community development was outstanding, he has left an indelible record that will be remembered for generations to come, he added. 
Papa was unique and he will be fondly missed for his immense contributions to the development of Elume community. His unwavering desire to build human capital endeared him before many in his community and beyond, late papa Godfrey Oboyare Inikoro's 11th child Mrs Odebala Omoyode told newsmen.
"Papa", as we fondly call him was one in a million, that I am unique today is because of my father's upbringing. My late father was a pillar to me and my siblings, he was a disciplinarian to the call, and I will miss him forever, she said.
Mr Wisdom Inikoro, Papa's 13th child said; "Papa was a great man, and the life of great men are never lost". He was an epistle that was read my many and would be read by many years to come, I am consoled by the fact that papa lives within me, he said.
Chief Eugene Inoaghan, Executive Chairman of Sapele local government area in his tribute wrote; "with a deep sense of loss on the demise of a renowned son of the soil, community builder and astute business guru, late Pa Godfrey Oboyare Inikoro of the popular Inikoro Estate in Sapele", I commiserate with the family and pray God Almighty rest the soul of the departed in his bossom. Pa Godfrey Oboyare Inikoro was an icon who lived a worthy life and a legacy worthy of emulation, the message read. 
Pa Godfrey Oboyare Inikoro, father of Honourable Justice Obaro Odebala's wife, was born in the year 1930 and died at 92 years of age. 
At the burial to pay their final respect were members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), friends and family relations.
Others are Chief Ejaife Odebala, Chief Julius Egbedi, Mr Richard Randy Okotie, Chief Onoriode Temiagin, Chief Benson Okorodudu, Hon Prince Joseph Atseyinku, Chief Godday Okpako, Hon Francis Okpigben, Chief Aghogho Omiemie Adibor, Hon Sunny Nwankegho, Mr Paul Owumi, Hon Igho Adibor, Comrade Ejiro Odebala, Teacher Happy Overah and a host of other dignatries.
