Sapele Okpe, Itsekiri Leaders Sues for Peace as Obomine Ekariko Organises Carnival like  Independence Day Celebration*

The Youth President of Sapele Okpe Community has organized it's maiden annual youth day to mark the 2022 Independence day celebration.

The carnival like event witness dignatries from all work of life who were in their green and white attire as recognition for the color of the Nigeria flag.
Obomine who was clad in white T-shirt and the tradition aso ebi chosen for the occasion said that the Sapele Okpe community maiden annual Independence day celebration was born out of the desire to bring the youths of Okpe origin together, an idea to promote peace, unity, progress and brotherly love amongst one another.
Obomine Ekariko, while addressing the crowd called on the community youths to be peace loving insisting that every youth residing within the community should embrace peace which is a panacea for development.

 The itsekiris are our brothers, we have inter-married over the years, I enjoin every youth residing within Sapele to embrace peace irrespective of his tribe.
Highlight of the day was cultural display music, dance and entertainment of the youths.

The elderly where not left out, as they troop in their numbers to add colour and glamour to the event amongst whom were Chief Eugene Inoaghan, Chief Ede Dafinone, Chief Onoriode Temiagin, Chief Godwin Dadi, Chief Moses Ogodo, Chief Godwin Atose, Chief Cyril Ogodo, Chief Omolubi Newuwumi, Chief Joseph Atseyinku, Chief Moses Babuba Abeke and a host of others.
