Exultation, excitement, jubilation as Eugene Inoaghan begins rehabilitation of failed portions of Gana - Ugberikoko Road*

Residents, motorists, tricyclist and other road users of the Gana - Ugberikoko Road axis are in an ecstatic mood as the Executive Chairman of Sapele local government area, Chief Eugene Inoaghan on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022 mobilized contractors to commence rehabilitation work on the failed portions of the road.

Recall that the council boss had dropped stone base, sharp sands and other materials needed to facilitate the rehabilitation of the failed portion of road days ago with the promise that contractors would be mobilized to the road.
The council chairman Eugene Inoaghan said that the rehabilitation of the road was to reduce the stress that road users go through, he therefore appealed to motorists, tricyclist, who ply the route, to be patient with the contractor.
I am appealing to residents to bear with us, we will do our best to ensure that the road is completed on time, he said.
The elated tricyclist and motorists who commended the local government Chairman for keeping to his promise, said that; the intervention will alleviate the sufferings of residents and other road users commuting the road on a daily basis.
At the inspection of the commencement of work on the road, the HOD Works, Engr Matthew Okotie said that materials have been mobilized to site to enable the engineers carry out rehabilitation work on the road.
He also expressed appreciation to residents of the area for their support and cooperation in actualizing the directives of the council boss.
One of the residents who identified herself as Sarah Stanley, praised Eugene Inoaghan for keeping his promise and alleviating the suffering of the people, noting, "I must commend Chief Eugene Inoaghan for keeping to his words. We cried to him through various media platforms and he responded by commencing work on the road", she said.
A motorist, Ejenavi Akpodiogaga said that the local government Chairman has further demonstrated his commitment to the welfare and livelihood of the people of Sapele local government area.

A lady tricyclist, who prefers to remain anonymous said; "those of us who make our daily living from plying this road can now heave a sign of relief". I started riding tricycle to feed my children when I lost my husband, seeing these contractors with their equipments on the road has raised my hope, and I am optimistic that the local government chairman will deliver on the execution of the project, she said.
Hon Stanley Kogoro and Hon Ovo Abeke, Councilors representing ward 7 and 8 respectively were on ground to supervise and direct motorists and tricyclist to use alternative route until the road rehabilitation was completed.
