*Senatorial Race: Amori Wins Big With 142 Votes Out of 265 Votes, Clinches Party Ticket To Represent Delta Central*

As the need for who to represent the good people of Delta Central Senatorial district arise, two individuals from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the person of Senator Ighoyota Amori and Chief John Nani has indicated interest to run.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, conducted it Primaries on Monday May 23rd, 2022 to enable the party get a candidate to represent them at the general election.

The Senatorial Primaries which was held at the Sapele township Stadium began with the accreditation of delegates from the eight local government area which made up Delta Central.

The PDP returning officer  Chief Patrick Ukah who conducted the Primaries declared Chief Ighoyota Amori the flag bearer of the party after he Clinched a total of 142 votes while his opponent Chief John Nani got 123

Reacting, Chief Ighoyota Amori thanked Senator Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Party leaders and the delegates for their support, adding that he will not fail to represent his people and bring them the dividends of democracy while noting that his joy knows no bound.
