Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief London Owhofasa Akpanoko has congratulated the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on his emergence as the gubernatorial flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Sheriff Oborevwori emerged victorious at the Primaries with a total vote of 583 out of 825 after contesting with 13 other aspirants.

London Akpanoko who was speaking with newsmen at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba where the Primaries was conducted said that Sheriff's emergence as the party's flag bearer is a testimony of his stewardship. He enjoin all party faithfuls to rally round and support him in the upcoming general election.

"The more the merrier" it is on this note that I urge you Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to reach out to everyone who contested in the Primaries, as there is need for our party to remain united, he said. 

Once again I congratulate for clinching the party's ticket, he added.
